Counselling is a journey of discovery and transformation, of being and becoming. At times
in life, people arrive at crossroads, facing stagnation or despair versus
renewal and growth. Adversities such as the grief of loss or the impact of
trauma can restrict and diminish, or they can strengthen and enrich. Counselling
can support healing and recovery and contribute to creative adjustment to
life’s challenges. People can feel alive in the present and free to
live with less fear and more love.
Change is best fostered by accepting people as they are. In a context
of empathy, and unconditional positive regard, people can attune to their
most authentic selves with wisdom and compassion. They can trust in their
own judgment and accept themselves with loving-kindness. With counselling,
people can nurture and develop their power and resilience, and let go of
what no longer serves them. Counselling can help people along their path
to discovering their own true natures and higher possibilities.
